Comparison of models for dynamic analysis of a mobile telescopic crane

The paper compares two models of a mobile telescopic crane. The first is analytical and uses methods common in manipulator dynamics together with the modal method; the second uscs the commercial ADAMS package. Results of numerical simulations for rotation of the crane upper structure are presented and compared. Models are evaluated in terms of calculation time, possible development and use in crane design.
