The aim of this paper is to present the experimental verification of the theoretical expressions derived for the post-buckling behaviour of the compressed rectangular plate clamped along longitudinal edges and simply supported along loaded sides. The compressed element of the flange of the box-girder loaded by pure bending is regarded as an experimental model.
