On the influence of damping on the critical speed of spring-mass system moving along a Timoshenko beam on an elastic foundation

The paper is devoted to an analysis of behaviour of the densly distributed chain of spring-mass system moving with constant speed along on infinite Thnoshenko beam on a visco-elastic foundation. The critical velocities of relative motion were determined on the basis of the kinetic stability criteria. It was proved that the instability regions are esentialy influenced also by a very small intensity of energy dissipation.
