Zamknięte rozwiązanie problemu propagacji niestacjonarnej płaskiej fali uderzeniowej w suchym gruncie piaszczystym

Edward Włodarczyk

A simplified form is suggested of the equation of state of a binary medium, this equation modelling fairly well the behaviour of a dry, sandy soil under load suddenly applied and subsequently decreasing to zero with the amplitude contained within the interval of 10-1000 MPa. This equation enabled the closed-form solution to be constructed to the propagation problem of a non-stationary, plane shock-wave in half-space filled with dry sandy soil. The formulae derived are of a simple structure and lend themselves to practical engineering calculations. Further-more, from their structure directly results the character of the effect of the parameters describing the load, as well as of the volumetric coefficient of air content (a) upon the generated by the wave in the soil fields of displacement, of velocity and of pressure, as well as upon the decay intensity of the wave-front as a result of the dessipation processes. In addition it should be emphasized that the character of this effect is in agreement with the physics of the phenomena that accompany the shock-wave propagation in a dry, sandy soil.
