Nowa metoda wyznaczania pola odkształcenia w przypadku trójwymiarowym, wykorzystująca zjawisko światła rozproszonego w elastooptyce

W. Karmowski, S. Mazurkiewicz

The new method of photoelasticity with the use of light scattering phenomenon to measure 3-D strain tensor is presented. Two new physical quantities describing at any point of the object as well the strain state of the body (i.e. complex directional strain) as the polarization state (i.e. polaritzation parameter) have been defined. Relations between these two quantities have been obtained making it possible to solve strain problem by numerical procedure. Light intensities in three directions perpendicular to the light beam have to be measured in proposed method. These measurements have to be made for two input beams (with different polarization states) to evaluate the sign of strain change. New quantity (the dyne) which is effective in calculation formulae for 2-D case has been introduced. The relationships between the dyne
and Airy's function has been obtained.
